The 1783-CMS10P is a 10-port, 19-inch rack-mountable Layer 2 Managed Ethernet Switch. In the Stratix 5410 hierarchy, this model provides high-speed switching and Power over Ethernet (PoE) but stays within Layer 2 functionalityÑmeaning it manages traffic via MAC addresses rather than IP routing.
It is an ideal “Access” or “Distribution” switch for industrial environments where you need to power devices like cameras or wireless access points but do not require the switch to act as a router.
