The 1783-BMS20CGL is a high-density, Managed “Lite” Ethernet Switch from the Stratix 5700 family. It is designed to act as the backbone for small to mid-sized industrial automation networks.
The “L” in the suffix stands for Lite, meaning it provides essential management features (like VLANs and basic security) but excludes more advanced “Full” features like Resilient Ethernet Protocol (REP) or Precision Time Protocol (PTP) for high-performance motion.
